Needless to say, it’s really hot again. I’ve already been pleasantly surprised by the energetic openers on both stages. I don’t know how hot it actually is, but it feels tremendous. The heat alone is destroying me. Anyway… The Liars are on-stage right now, proving that arty, drone-y, primal, noise-rock can be hypnotic and still thrash from time to time. What is there to say? The Friday night line-up is pretty damn strong. We’ve got folk-enchantress Sharon Van Etten (pictured above) and then The Tallest Man on Earth easing us into the festival with their folksy ways. Then slam, El-P is gonna take us to a whole other place. I’ve seen El-P (pictured above) a couple of times before and he always brings a little stage-craft to his stage show, so it’ll be interesting to [...]
