Win Tickets to the
Megacity Music Marathon

While we may be a little biased, as two of our writers’ bands will be playing, it’s hard to deny the sheer awesomeness of the upcoming Megacity Music Marathon taking place in Columbus at the Woodlands Tavern on September 10. In addition to the reunion of manic popsters 84 Nash (with Agit associate editor Kevin Elliott on vocals) and the inclusion of barroom stompers Nic Tolford and Co. (the company includes Agit writer Michael O’Shaughnessy on drums), there is another dozen or so reasons to attend.

First and foremost: Bill Fox. The reclusive former singer for The Mice has taken to performing again (and has an album’s worth of new songs) in Cleveland, but rarely plays out of town. Think of this as the Ohio equivalent of seeing Syd Barrett in the flesh. Second: reunions. In addition to 84 Nash, several other of Columbus’ yesteryear best are getting back together for the shindig, namely The Bygones, The Cusacks, Bigfoot, and the original line-up of Tree of Snakes. Last, add in another 20 bands or so, like Psychedelic Horseshit, Pink Reason, The Unholy Two and The Lindsay, and this thing is really over-the-top.

Obviously, we are excited to be giving away a pair of tickets.
