This Moment In Black History played a killer set at Plush. In my opinion, they’re the best Cleveland band out there right now, channeling the past 40 years of Crooked River rock expeditionalism and distilling it into post-punk brilliance. It was fitting that drummer Bim Thomas insisted the band close with “Public Square,” the title track of their new Smog Veil LP, if only because of the subtle reference to Cleveland punk legends the Pagans.
