I saw a great set by Cleveland expatriates My Dad Is Dead at Habana Calle. They played a nice mix of old and new songs, and sounded like they were in their mid-80s form.
Spoon’s showcase at Stubb’s was packed, and the crowd was into the set, which consisted mostly of material from the band’s three previous records. I would’ve preferred to hear some more of their poppier stuff, but we got more of the funkier Spoon this time around. With that said, a nice version of “I Summon You” was a great way to end the night.
